As you know, the PEC rebuild will begin as soon as school is out this June. Grades K-3 will be temporarily relocated to El Camino Creek Elementary School, and Grades 4-6 will be at Park Dale Lane Elementary School. We set up this page to help keep you in the loop.

Como saben, la reconstrucción de la escuela PEC comenzará tan pronto como terminen las clases en junio. Q: Why is this happening?
The cost to sufficiently modernize PEC was not all that different from a top-to-bottom rebuild. In 2024, local voters passed Bond Measure Z, which will fund improvements in all 9 district schools, with PEC (the district's oldest campus) getting the largest portion. The historic schoolhouse will remain intact but will be repurposed as a media center for all students' to use. Everything else will be fully reconstructed.

Q: What's the best place for current information about the project and its timing?
The district has set up a page dedicated to the PEC Rebuild, which includes information about the proposed Fall 2027 opening of the new campus. That page is the best source of current information!

Q: Can I see the design?
Yes! Check out the architects' full presentation for their 'School In a Garden' concept at the PEC Rebuild page on the EUSD website. Thank you to everyone in the community who participated in the 2025 community input sessions.

Q: Will busing be provided?
Yes. EUSD has contracted ____. Thanks to everyone who participated in the December 2025 survey, which informed how many buses are in the works.

Q: How will busing work?
Buses for both destinations will be centralized at one location for PEC families: It looks likely that buses bound for ECC and PDL will leave Orpheus Park at 7:30 am, but those details are still being finalized.
